I got my Audi towed here for some issues I was having with ticking sound coming from the engine when cold and a misfire on 3 cylinders that led to poor gas consumption and loss of power. Eurotech assured me that they have all the tools and right technicians to diagnose the problem. They called me a day later indicating that the timing chains need to be replaced and quoted me close to $9000 for that job, rightly so as it's a labor intensive job (dealer had quoted me $8500 for this job and another shop $6900). There was no way I was going to spend that much on a 2008 Audi so I decided to get my car towed to another shop (I didn't get it towed there the first time since its quite far from where I live. However I decided to give it a shot, sort of a last throw on the dice for a second opinion). I got my car fixed for a little less than $1000. The issue wasn't the chains, just a tensioner that needed to be replaced. The two stars is for the improper diagnosis I received and the work Eurotech wanted to do. Of course replacing the chains would have fixed the problem because the tensioners would have been replaced as part of the job but it's a shame that the technicians at Eurotech didn't diagnose the problem accurately and wanted to replace something that wasn't even a problem. Always get a second opinion! Trustworthy mechanics are hard to come by.. PS: The owner did reach out to me to discuss what happened and their quotation. I did call the owner on their cellphone and we had a discussion, so there was communication. I still felt that the right diagnosis was not performed to pinpoint the problem. I understand the shop preferred to overhaul the engine and replace the chains to stand behind their work but that's the easy way out, in my opinion.

Our invoice did ID the tensioner same as the other shop. We were just not willing to do a partial repair and stand behind it We quoted doing the full job, as we stand behind our work with a 3 year 36K warranty. Doing a Small repair and hoping it will last is not something we do, I am happy it worked out for you and car is running. We have tried that in the past and have only have a 20-30% success ratio taking 1K of you money with those odds are not something we were willing to do Please understand we truly do care, we also want to make sure our repairs are guaranteed to last, we also have a 3 year 36K warranty that we have to uphold on those repairs. I’ve been using Eurotech for years. Terrific staff in a gem of a shop tucked in the north-central part of the cities. Easy to get to from anywhere. They do quality work, stand behind it and are a wonderful resource when you have questions. Top. Notch.

There was a problem with EuroTech's repair of my 1989 Mercedes-Benz 300TE, and once Seth (the owner) got wind of it, he went above and beyond to make things right. It's a customer service case study on how to turn a potential critic into a raving fan. Really impressive, and while I hope it's a long, long time from now, I will be back to EuroTech.

From the minute I called this shop to the minute I left this shop they were helpful, knowledgeable and incredibly friendly. My 88 BMW 528e was in rough shape when I brought it to them, and for a very reasonable price and quick service, I was able to drive it home! Love this place, would highly recommend that you bring your imports to these guys - new or old.
